We created a website for The Boathouse cottage in Cornwall. As well as selling the cottage as a great holiday location, the site has a bespokely-built calendar through which visitors can view prices and book. We also integrated Twitter updates on the homepage.
The site is built with Make — our CMS — so everything from text and images to availability and prices can be controlled by the client.
The main menu typography is set in Plantin, while Gill Sans is used for titles across the site and Georgia for body text.
Decorative separators divide areas of content throughout the site. Though primarily functional, they add a unique, ownable element that can be used on printed materials and emails too.
The booking page takes the form of a calendar that shows available dates. This means you can easily identify dates appropriate to your schedule in a visual way, and allows you to quickly compare prices before booking.
The gallery, where transitions between images are controlled using JavaScript so as to seamlessly change from one to the next.
A zoomable Google Map on the contact page tells prospective visitors all they need to know about the location and how to get there, while a contact form allows people to ask any specific questions before booking.
